Hi! I’m Mael. A 27yo founder, living in 🇨🇭.
I build AI products that can make an impact.
Welcome to my website, mael [dot] ai.
I also invest, via morning run vc.
I am an extremely lucky person. I was given pretty much any opportunity I could dream of: traveling the world, doing sports, being in good health, choosing my studies, moving to new cities, landing my dream jobs, without having to worry about money... But I am aware this chance is only given to a small part of the population.
I wish to create a world that promotes equal opportunities. People should be able to move and travel independently, be in good health, and learn what inspires them. My goal is to create solutions that will contribute to these 3 pillars.
For a long time, I thought one should focus on a single mission for years to become successful. I met dozens of entrepreneurs who proved me wrong. Not all solutions I'm building will work. Some will remain prototypes. But that's more thank ok. I'm in for the journey.
I believe that everyone should have the chance to walk, move and travel safely and independently. Including those living with disabilities. That's why I'm building biped.ai.
Health, sports and diet education are fundamental to live happy lives. I'm iterating on my health habits a lot. Currently preparing a full IronMan after two 70.3 in 2023. My goal is to build in this space in 2024.
Access to education is crucial to build long-term chances. I'm building monprof.ai and medprof.ai to solve this, and sharing my knowledge on dot ai podcast and on my newsletter.
I'm doing 30mn calls to help with startup creation, deck review, funding intros, software or hardware tips...
I usually work on B2C software, that's my forte--where I shine best. But I also have about 15 B2B software products in my portfolio. I do end-to-end product design + branding.
I only charge hourly for my ongoing projects that need work on the regular. One-time projects are charged upfront to keep it transparent and clean! My hourly rate is $100.
I work Pacific Standard Time, but I'm always ready to help out in emergencies, no matter the hour.
Depends on the scope of the project, really. Some projects take less than a week. Some take months. The best way to find out is to get on a quick call with me, and discuss it. No strings attached!
I quote a price upfront--so that you know exactly what you're paying and for what, and there are no surprises later. The exact cost of your project depends on the scope and requirements!
I take a problem-forward approach. Whether we're iterating on an existing product or building a new one from scratch, how to solve the user's problem in the simplest way possible is my first concern.
Send me an email to understand my process in depth!
The best metrics are customer adoption, happiness, task success, and engagement. There are a number of frameworks such as the System Usability Scale that help us understand product performance and I'm happy to help with that.
I always make sure to help out my clients one month after the project ends, for free. For any help post that, we can work out an ongoing arrangement!
